WOMeNS DAYS
A POEM BY BEN PARKER - 8/3/17
like wood and nails
women build us strong
feed us fruit and veg
so we live long
in times of distress
they sing us song
tolerate our antics
as our minds ping pong
we cant live without women
and everything they sacrifice
to raise a family and allow
their children to live nice
though i am glad we can say
times have changed
and now woman have careers
a thousand opportunities to
avenge a thousand suffragette tears
women can love man and woman
and everything in-between
a woman can be respected for
being short tall large and lean
our future Prime Ministers and
Presidents are probably living as
female teens
inspired by Michelle
to lead and to be more
im glad our generation
has its eyes open
and we can see more
i cant write anything clever
to correctly equate
what women do for our lives
its not a subject you can easily
dissect with theoretical knives
i just embrace it for everything it is
and can be
as women become mire and
continue to surpass man
in their ability to open their hearts
and minds
to new ideas motives and creations
to tighten world relations and
bring our neighbours closer
together
with smiles of gold and souls
tough as leather
as the beautiful creation known as
women continues to endeavour
