CURIOUS GEORGE
A POEM BY BEN PARKER - 12/8/17 --> 14/8/17 (LUXEMBOURG)
curious george
fell deep like a gorge
opened the gates to the forge
kept closed for the storm
curious george
eyes open like the tide gates
mind open to all debates
comparing all opinions to his own
curious george
always thinking of the end goal
post to post like North Pole
no task left uncompleted
curious george
so many questions on his mind
greater knowledge demanded of this race called mankind
how many boxes does he have the key for
curious george
new pastures to explore
with each new discovery leaving
the boy wanting more
experience makes him hungry
curious george
always getting into trouble
but his courage turns his fear to rubble
hes blind to what could have been
curious george
money was never the motive
his heart kept him on track like a locomotive
only then would he find satisfaction
curious george
armed with a smile but no tail
stumbling through the world
he knew he never would fail
curious george
just a monkey on a mission
only the wisest minds can see
he used more than inhibition
curious george
with the animals instincts
his image so distinct
you could sense the boy in the city
curious george
he makes the people smile
every new day a clean slate
like a marble kitchen tile
curious george
no words and no conversation
but the boys actions required
no explanation
curious george
name a place he hasnt been
curious george
the new Columbus
name a place he hasnt seen
curious george
with the glossy brown hair
and the beamy brown stare
innocence beaming from his face
an aroma of calm in the air
curious george
owner with the pharrell hat
georges best friend
how many others can claim that
curious george
ran the show like a lead actor
took a new angle like mathematical protractor
with an energetic glow like nuclear reactor
his primal senses a key factor
to his curiosity of the city
causing curiosity in me
